Microchip

A pet microchip is a tiny device placed beneath your pet’s skin that can be used to contact you should your pet go missing. This is a permanent form of identification to link you to your pet so you can be reunited!

HomeAgain microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and can be scanned with any microchip scanning device. If you are considering a microchip, a great time to have it placed is at your pet’s spay or neuter appointment; however, this service may be performed during any appointment.

You may have questioned whether cats can be microchipped, and yes, they can!

We would recommend microchipping most dogs, as well as cats that go outside. When your pet is microchipped, we will take care of the initial registration process with HomeAgain for you, but it is very important to update your contact information should it ever change.

HomeAgain microchips do not hurt your pet, require surgery or wear out, but they do give your pet the best chance of coming back home to you!
